About SAPIENS
What is SAPIENS Network? SAPIENS stands for Sustainability and Procurement in International, European, and National Systems.
SAPIENS Network is an international training network of 10 EU universities and 19 partner organisations (including international organisations, public purchasers, R&D centres, public and independent expertise centres, a lobbyist and a US academic institution (GWU). The network was created because unleashing the potential of SPP requires a new generation of experts capable of working across disciplines (law, economics, business sciences) and knowledgeable of the different relevant methodologies.

Impact of SAPIENS Network
SAPIENS’s direct impact will be to create a unique European and international knowledge base and research capacity on SPP. The impact areas are broken down into four key sections.
Why SAPIENS?
Hear from lead researchers, partners, and early-stage researchers what SAPIENS is to them, and why it’s objective – to create a significantly increased European knowledge base and research capacity on the law, the economics and the business sciences of Sustainable Public Procurement (SPP) – is so important and necessary to help Europe address social and environmental challenges.
